Temporary Tenancies which are being let to homeless people are not secure. For example, Eastbourne Homes service properties which are leased from a private landlord and managed by Eastbourne Homes and also Eastbourne Borough Council Tenancies let directly to homeless people.
This type of tenancy gives customers the opportunity to understand what is expected of them in settled accomodation before this is actually offered to them. If you have any concerns about such an issue then please contact the Estate Management Officer.
Similar to these are Introductory tenancies, which are offered to new tenants and are also not secure. These are probationary tenancies for 12 months. At the end of the 12 months, a tenant who had kept to the Tenancy Agreement would become a secure tenant automatically.
