The Council has contracts for grass cutting and other ground maintenance. Included within the leaseholder service charge is an element for any maintenance done to your block.
Grass cutting is carried out when the grass reaches a certain length. This takes place throughout the whole year.
Grass for blocks is cut and collected and for estates is cut and fly. Grass should normally be less than 50mm high for cut and fly. If the grass is over 100mm it will be cut and collect.
Pruning and Weeding
Other ground maintenance, such as shrub pruning and weeding is carried out as necessary to achieve the performance standard specified in the contract. Frequency can depend on factors such as weather conditions and plant growth.
