Moving Out

You can end your tenancy by giving 28 days notice in writing (beginning and ending on a Monday) This will be acknowleged in writing.

 

Please remember that you will have to pay your rent until the end of your notice period. Handing your keys in without notice does not end your Tenancy and you will still be liable for rent during this period.

Remember to...

  • Notify us in writing giving 28 days notice (beginning and ending on a Monday),
  • Notify gas, electricity and water companies as well as the council tax department.
  • Return keys to our offices on Ivy Terrace, on or before 12 noon on the day your notice ends. If this does not happen you could be charged further rent, a receipt will be given when you return the keys.
  • Fixtures and fittings should be left in good order and the premises cleared of all belongings and rubbish. We will recharge you with the cost of fixing any damage or clearing out the premises. We will also recharge if we have to change the locks because you did not return your keys.
  • You may wish to arrange for your mail to be redirected as we do not forward on mail for you.
