Tenants who have a disability can request that certain adaptations, such as ramps/support rails can be made to their home.
These requests should be made, in the first instance to:
Social Care Direct
Tel: 0845 6080191
Where they will initially do an assessments over the phone to decide who would be best to come and see you in your own home to then further discuss your requirements.
The Occupational Therapist will then visit you to carry out an assessment on what works need to be done.
They will send a Report to us with their recommendations for work needed.
All but a very limited number of adaptations are paid for by Eastbourne Homes and do not incur a rent increase.
We do not supply stores or power for electric scooters, so before you sign up for one please ensure that you have somewhere within your own property to store this. They are not allowed to be left in communal areas.
For more information please see our Aids and Adaptations leaflet which is available from our offices or to download below.
