Our service standards with regards to anti-social behaviour are:
- To respond to reports of anti-social behaviour within five working days or one day if the complaint is of a serious anti-social behaviour; for example if it is of racial harassment or involves actual or threatened violence.
- To agree an action plan with victims for dealing with the problem at the time of the initial investigation in order to make sure they are clear about what can be done and the likely timescale involved.
- To fully investigate complaints of anti-social behaviour and ensure victims are regularly kept informed of progress at every stage of the process. We will contact you every fortnight after reporting an issue unless we agree a different time scale with you.
- To have resolved or agreed further action on all cases of nuisance and anti-social behaviour within 90 days. Some cases can be resolved quickly by referral to mediation or issuing of warnings. However if legal action is to be taken, cases will take longer. Our aim is to have agreed this course of action and informed all parties of this within 90 days.
It is our intention to resolve the nuisance, where possible, without the need for legal action.
