With the community playground proving hugely popular with the young and old at Archery Recreation Ground, the volunteers on the local area panel have been busy looking to make further improvements.
The Central and Archery Area Panel recognised the need for an area where families that enjoy the playground facilities could have space for refreshments and to take a breather. Thanks to funding from the Eastbourne Crime Reduction Partnership three picnic tables and two benches are now in place.
Eastbourne Homes Resident Involvement Officer, Everol Sampson, said: "The Archery Recreation Ground is looking fantastic. There is now so much going on and it is clear that local people are making the most of all the facilities."
