Tenant and Resident Associations
Tenant and Resident Associations
You might want to work with Eastbourne Homes officers and other tenants to help shape decisions. You can do this by joining your local Tenants Association (TA), or starting a new one, if there isn't one in your area.
A resident association is a group of people on an estate or in a block who decide to come together to do something about their homes and the area they live in. This gives them a better say in how things are run and means they can work together to find solutions to problems affecting their area. This could include a number of items such as repairs, building works, play facilities, security or social activities.
Currently we have following groups operating in the following areas:
- Kilkenny Court
- New Derby House
- Archery Court
- Coventry Court
- Derry Court
- Gwent Court
- Longford Court
- Riverbourne House
- Roxburgh Court
- St mary's Court
- Stirling Court
- Tyrone Court
The Resident Engagement Team will give you all the help you need to get a group up and running. We'll tell you how to:
- Raise interest among people in your area.
- Identify your group's aims and objectives.
- Hold a first public meeting to recruit members.
- Apply for cash grants.
- Set up regular meetings with local housing staff to discuss local spending priorities.
If you would like more information please contact the Residetn Engagement Team.
