Equality and Diversity Steering Group

Our Equality and Diversity Steering Group oversees the monitoring of Equality in Eastbourne Homes Limited (EHL).  It consists of customers, staff, UNISON and our Equality Board Champion.

Its objectives are to:-

  • Scrutinise our Equality Impact Assessments (the way we monitor equality) and ensure we do not discriminate on the grounds of gender; disability; race, colour or nationality; religion or political belief; family composition or marital status; sexual orientation or age;

  • To ensure we are compliant with legislation;

  • To provide a forum for us to discuss and involve customers and the local community in the development of our policies and strategies;
