11 Tons of Rubbish Removed from Central & Archery Area

CEntral & Archery Area Panel Rubbish Collection - residents bringing rubbish to the dustcarts

On Saturday 23^rd June, Central and Archery Area Panel teamed up with Eastbourne Homes and Eastbourne Borough Council to provide a free rubbish collection day. This was after consultation with customers in Central and Archery areas, which showed their main cause for concern was rubbish littering the area. There was two pre-arranged dumping sites and Eastbourne Homes Officers collected rubbish from customers who were unable to get to the dump sites themselves.

A total of 11 tons of rubbish was collected plus over 20 fridges and freezers were disposed of, resulting in a cleaner community for all! This was the first project the Central and Archery Area Panel has carried out and they would appreciate any comments or suggestions for future projects
