This group has been established to monitor disability provision in our functions and services.
The panels objectives are to:

Ensure Eastbourne Homes, their partners, contractors and customer working groups are compliant with disability legislation

To represent Eastbourne Homes on wider disability forums

Improve service delivery through a better understanding of current and potential customers issues and needs

To provide a forum for Eastbourne Homes to discuss and involve customers and the local community in the development of their policies and strategies
This group is Chaired by the Eastbourne Homes Disability Board Champion. Membership is open to Eastbourne Homes disabled customers and their carers, Eastbourne Homes staff and Mears our disabled adaptations contractors.
The panel meet every other month. Complimentary transport can be provided to get to and from meetings.
Small Aids Initiative
The Disability Panel has £500 to spend to provide customers with small aids to help them stay independent in their home. This includes items such as:
- Grabbers
- Ergonomic gardening tools
- Magnifying glass
