Members of the Langney Area Panel and Leasehold Panel made a welcome visit to West Rise Junior School before the summer break to deliver some great news for all the pupils and teachers.
West Rise has become famous for their innovative Bronze Age project and their extensive exploration of life and times during that period, including a herd of water buffalos that graze on the nearby marshland.
The Langney Area Panel and Leasehold Panel donated £1600 and £300 respectively to help the school continue with their work that is now focused on developing a Stone Age village with raised platforms and walkways.
Both panels are part of the resident involvement work undertaken by Eastbourne Homes. Local people interested in joining the Langney Area Panel should attend the next meeting on Thursday 29 September between 6pm and 8pm at the Resource Centre in Etchingham Road.
