Refuse Collection

Two men putting rubbish into a waste truck.

Refuse is collected from the boundary of your property by SITA on behalf on Eastbourne Borough Council.

Refuse is stored in wheeled bins (for houses and some flats) and these must be deposited on the boundary of your property on collection day.

If your wheelie bin was not collected please call SITA on 01323 720 920 or use the online fault reporting system.

For courts and blocks of flats refuse is deposited into large Paladin Bins which may be by way of a refuse chute. Only put household refuse into the chutes and not anything flammable or toxic or bulky items which can block the chutes.

The refuse collectors will only take away what is known as household rubbish. They will not take away items such as household appliances and items of refuse that are too large. They do not take away garden rubbish and items such as chemical waste which may have to be paid for.

Please do not Fly Tip items, as this is unsightly. If you see someone doing this please advise our Estate Management Team accordingly.
