Putting its people first has enabled Eastbourne Homes to gain a nationally accredited award.
The organisation reached the Investors in People (IiP) Standard for the way management develop, support and motivate the team.
The IiP framework, which is suitable for organisations of any size and in any sector, transforms business performance and helps companies to achieve their objectives.
Firms which have achieved the IiP Standard generally have a lower staff turnover and sickness rates, and therefore increased productivity.
Sam Hardy, Eastbourne Homes’ Human Resources Manager, said: “Everyone at Eastbourne Homes is delighted that we’ve achieved IiP status. The criteria are very strict to ensure that only the best companies reach the standard, and the award is a great motivator for everyone who works here.”
John Telfer, Managing Director of Inspiring Business Performance, the organisation that delivers Investors in People for London and the South, said: “Eastbourne Homes should be congratulated for the way in which management and staff have come together to produce real results. I hope other organisations in the industry will look to them as a great example of what can be achieved.”
